WHAT DOES CARBSTER OFFER ME?
With Carbster as a calculation aid for the carbohydrates you consume, the psychological burden for those affected and relatives of diabetics is alleviated. Carbster is easy to integrate into your everyday life and offers you straightforward documentation of your carbohydrate intake to calculate the appropriate amount of insulin. The app therefore helps you to avoid mistakes that can quickly have harmful or life-threatening consequences.

HOW DOES CARBSTER WORK?
The mobile application allows you to quickly and easily record the weight of different foods and calculate the respective carbohydrates consumed. Combining foods into one meal allows an overview and thus different levels of detail (for different user groups/questions), with consistent data quality and security for the user.
 
CALCULATION OF MEALS
Uncertainty in carbohydrate estimation leads to difficulties in accurately dosing insulin, which in turn leads to unpredictable blood sugar fluctuations and impaired quality of life. By providing a digital database, the calculation can be simplified by specifying the amount of the respective food. This is used to calculate the amount of carbohydrates consumed.
 
CLARITY
The simple and accessible list view gives users better control and an overview of the carbohydrates consumed and easier access to the calculation of the insulin to be administered.
 
ACCESSIBILITY
Carbster places particular emphasis on accessibility: contrasts, elements and visualization make it easier to use for people with visual impairments. MAY CARBSTER BE USED BY CAREGIVERS?
Monitoring carbohydrate intake can often be an additional burden for caregivers - for example in schools, kindergartens or retirement homes. The fear of incorrect calculations is immense, as this activity is associated with a great deal of responsibility. Carbster is a tool that caregivers and nursing staff can use to ease the burden.
