Details

The University Institute of Cardiology and Pulmonology of Quebec (IUCPQ) is a supraregional establishment whose serving population reaches more than 2 million inhabitants, or about 30% of the population of Quebec. The IUCPQ offers specialized and ultraspecialized care and services in cardiology, pulmonology and obesity surgery. Affiliated with Laval University, the Institute relies on the collaboration and dedication of nearly 3,000 employees, doctors, professionals, researchers, managers and volunteers to provide quality care and services to hospitalized and outpatient clients. The facility has one of the highest rates of intensive care and progressive care beds in Quebec. The research center of the Institute is recognized worldwide. The institute compares favorably with the largest North American institutions of ultraspecialized care. The Intravenous Drug Delivery Guide is intended to be a convenient reference book for physicians, pharmacists and nurses involved in the intravenous administration of critical drugs. The guide includes about sixty of the most used drugs in critical care. Each drug sheet provides information on classification, mechanism of action, action profile, indications, dosages, available IUCPQ presentations, stability and compatibility data and precautions, in addition to infusion tables for several drugs. However, the user must take into consideration that the guide was first created by and for the health professionals of the IUCPQ with the peculiarities of this ultra-specialized environment. The use of the guide must be adapted according to the environment. The application is free to download. The free version contains a reduced version of the guide. To get the full version of the guide, you will need to subscribe to it. The subscription is on an annual basis and will be automatically renewed within 24 hours before the deadline, unless you cancel the subscription at least 1 day before the end of the subscription or that you disable the automatic renewal of the subscription. Subscriptions can be managed by the user and auto-renew can be disabled by accessing the user's account settings after purchase. The subscription includes automatic updates of the guide when it is updated.
