Practical Urology is a reference book designed for Urologists, Primary Care Physicians, Emergency Physicians, Nephrologists, Gynecologists and Internal Medicine specialists who want to update their knowledge on a specific topic through a quick read. In addition, its practical nature with innumerable flow-charts and very easy-to-view drug tables makes it ideal for quick consultation even while seeing a patient in the office, in the emergency room or at the foot of the bed in hospitalized patients. Each drug table includes the active ingredient, the dose and the duration of treatment. For Primary Care, Emergency Physicians, Nephrologists, Gynecologists and Internal Medicine, the diagnostic and therapeutic management of urological emergencies (renal colic, hematuria, priapism, acute scrotum, etc.), benign prostatic hyperplasia, urinary infections ( cystitis, prostatitis, balanitis, orchiepididymitis, sexually transmitted diseases, pyelonephritis, etc.), urinary incontinence (stress and urge), guidelines in basic andrology (male infertility, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, etc.), the atlas of images of urological skin lesions or the Urovademécum, to name a few examples. For Urologists, we highlight the rapid access to guidelines for action in emergencies (priapism, sepsis, Fournier's gangrene, etc), lithiasis, treatment of unusual pathologies (urogenital TB, penile dermatosis, recurrent nocturnal erections, post-surgical chylous ascites, etc) , management of hospitalized urological patients (intestinal preparation, thromboembolic and antibiotic prophylaxis, hydroelectrolytic and metabolic alterations, anticoagulation and antiaggregation, etc.), practical and concise approach to oncological pathology, legal aspects in Urology, consultation of normal laboratory figures, etc. Given possible variations in drug indications, dosage information, recently reported toxicity, drug interactions, and other important issues, the reader is encouraged to check the information. Despite all the efforts made to achieve a text without errors, the authors decline any responsibility for the inaccuracy of any of the published data. The book is divided into sections that are accessed from an index on the main page of the application. Each section contains a list of chapters, which can be opened individually.
