[Characteristics of Yahoo! Disaster Prevention News]

・We will promptly notify you of various disaster information, including earthquake early warnings and heavy rain forecasts, through push notifications.

・Can send notifications to your current location and up to 3 other locations in Japan. You can feel safe while moving or traveling.

- On the app screen, you can check the latest disaster information for your current location and registered areas, as well as evacuation sites for each type of disaster.

・“Heavy Rain Forecast” is a push notification before heavy rain falls. Recommended for everyday use, such as for protection against torrential rain.

・Users can share disaster situations with each other on the "Disaster Map," allowing users to see what type of disaster is coming and how close it is.

・The "Disaster Prevention Notebook" can be used not only when a disaster occurs, but also for everyday preparations, such as registering evacuation sites, checking hazard maps, and disaster prevention supplies.


[Example of app usage]

・Preparing for earthquakes and tsunamis at your travel destination
If you enable location linking, you can receive earthquake early warnings for your travel destination without changing settings.
You will also be notified when a tsunami advisory or warning is announced, so you can take evacuation action as soon as possible.
*Earthquake early warnings may not be delivered in time for areas close to the epicenter.

・For measures against sudden rain
Since you can know the heavy rain forecast as soon as possible, you can prepare in advance by closing the shutters if you are at home or moving indoors if you are going out.

・For disaster countermeasures for distant family members
If you set the area near your home, disaster information will be notified even at your workplace, so you can notify your family to prepare for a disaster.


[Supported disaster information]

■Evacuation information
We will notify you when the local government issues or cancels evacuation information.

■Earthquake early warning/earthquake information
You will be notified if the predicted seismic intensity or earthquake observation results of the Earthquake Early Warning are greater than the seismic intensity you set.

■Tsunami forecast
We will notify you when a major tsunami warning, tsunami warning, or advisory is announced or cancelled.

■Heavy rain risk level
You will be notified if the risk of landslides or river flooding due to heavy rain increases in the set area.

■Heavy rain forecast
You will be notified if the forecast predicts that the amount of precipitation will exceed the set value. You can also check the state of rain clouds using the rain cloud radar.

■Landslide disaster
We will notify you when landslide warning information is announced or lifted.

■River flood
We will notify you when a designated river flood forecast ("flood warning information" or higher) is announced or canceled.

■Weather warning
We will notify you when a weather warning issued by the Japan Meteorological Agency is announced or canceled.

■Heatstroke information
If the heat index exceeds the set value, the danger level will be notified along with the heat index.

■Volcano information
You will be notified when an eruption warning or eruption warning is announced for a volcano that affects the set area.
